The Red Wings have 7 rental properties to move, including Stecher and Leddy

Defender Troy Stecher is so happy to be playing again this season that he can’t think of where he might end up next season.

“Friends back home have asked me the same question and it’s like, ‘I’ve been away for three months, all I really want to do is play hockey.’ Stecher said.

But when he thinks about his future, he’ll remember he wasn’t in the Red Wings’ top six at the start of the season.

“I wasn’t happy not to play,” he admitted. “When you come back from a summer and you do all this work and you don’t start playing, it’s obviously disappointing. When I came back, I tried to be very proud of my game. I felt that I was coming out strong. Obviously I got injured, so that was a shame. Just excited to be back in the mix. Whether I play or not, I have to push guys, push our teammates, be the best teammate I can be. and when I play, try to be the best I can be.
