Memphis Athletics release information on football game


MEMPHIS, Tennessee – With the Tiger Football season opening on Saturday, September 4 at 6 p.m. in less than two weeks, Memphis Athletics has released the first game day information to help fans prepare for the action at the Liberty Bowl Memorial. Stadium during the 2021 season.

Parking and Shuttles

Tigers season parking pass holders who have purchased parking will be located in the lots they have purchased for the entire season. Seasonal parking passes are sold out at this time. The opening hours of the car parks will be communicated before each match.

With the development of Liberty Park underway on the grounds of the Liberty Bowl, the City of Memphis has adjusted checkout parking options. The Liberty Bowl will operate off-site, cash-only parking at the Coca-Cola Plant (499 S. Hollywood), Tobey Park (2599 Avery) and the City of Memphis Surplus Lot (2540 Avery).

Additionally, the city offers a Park and Ride shuttle service to the Liberty Bowl from the University of Memphis campus. The service includes free parking and a round-trip shuttle service to and from the stadium for $ 5 per person. Fans interested in the shuttle service can park in the parking lots at University Central Avenue (3854 Central Ave.) or Southern Avenue (597 Goodman St.) and access the shuttles, which will begin four hours before kickoff. and will perform continuous routes for up to an hour after the game ends.

Mask policy

According to the latest guidelines from the Shelby County Health Department, all fans, regardless of their immunization status, are required to wear masks in the interior spaces of the Liberty Bowl. Masks are encouraged outdoors if they cannot practice social distancing.

Transparent bags policy

The Liberty Bowl continues to use a clear bag policy to provide a safer environment for the public and significantly speed up guest entry into the stadium.

Approved bags include:

  • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags and not exceeding 12 “x 6” x 12 “
  • Clear plastic gallon freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar)
  • Small pockets, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or shoulder strap
  • Medically necessary items after proper inspection

Tiger Lane and Tiger Walk

Inflatable games, music and other activities on Tiger Lane are expected to begin three hours before kickoff. Tiger Walk, where fans can cheer on the team in the stadium, will take place two and a half hours before kick-off.
