K-State to host bowl game watch party after Texas game

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State will be hosting a Bowl Game Watch Party in the Shamrock Zone for fans attending the Wildcats’ Big 12 Men’s Basketball Home opener with Texas on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at the Bramlage Coliseum.

Tickets for the Bowl Game Watch Party will be $ 5 and limited to those with a men’s basketball ticket. Some concession items will be available for purchase and a cash bar will be available.

The 13,500 square foot Shamrock area, which connects the south hall of Bill Snyder The Family Stadium and the main lobby of the Bramlage Coliseum opened in August 2021. The space includes a 50-foot bar as well as two 30-foot-wide video boards and 36 televisions for watching the bowl game.

The gates to the Shamrock area will open at the end of the men’s basketball game, which has been moved to 6 p.m. CT tipoff to allow fans to watch the Wildcats’ game kick off with LSU in the TaxAct Texas Bowl, which is scheduled for 8 p.m., kicks off CT on ESPN.

With many K-State fans in Houston for the Texas Bowl, the Track and Field Department offers all general admission tickets for just $ 1 plus free general admission parking when the Wildcats host the Longhorns at the Bramlage. Coliseum. General admission tickets can be found in sections 19 to 25.

Season pass holders traveling to Houston can contact the track and field box office to donate their tickets to a Fort Riley soldier and his family.
