Indiana State-UNI women’s basketball game postponed

ST. LOUIS – The University of Northern Iowa has determined that it was unable to make it to the women’s basketball home games on Thursday (December 30) and Saturday (January 1) against Evansville and Indiana State, respectively.

The matches have been postponed and the Conference office will attempt to reschedule the matches, if possible.

The MVC’s Forfeiture / Cancellation Policy states that “an institution will be required to play a Conference basketball game if it has eight or more student-athletes and one or more coaches available. In the event that an institution does not ” does not meet the minimum player threshold If an institution meets the minimum player / coach availability threshold and chooses not to play, the match will be considered forfeit. In particular, an institution can play if it does not meet these minimum standards of list. “

Ultimate responsibility and communication with the public regarding decisions to compete, cancel, postpone or delay MVC competitions rests with the Conference office in conjunction with the sports administrators of the two competing institutions.

Indiana State will play Drake Thursday night before starting a three-game MVC homestand against Illinois State on January 7.
