Hayley Harnden hired to staff at UNI Athletics facilities

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI Athletics has hired Hayley harnden as an event manager for its facilities and gaming operations team.

Harnden will oversee game management for selective sports and special events, work with student planning for internal and external events, and manage several outdoor event rentals.

“We are very happy to have Hayley on board with our facilities staff,” said Brooke Croshier-Sidebotham, deputy sporting director for facilities and operations. “His impressive background in game operations and management will be a fantastic addition to our team. “

Harnden joins UNI after serving as a Development Coordinator at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, where she created and maintained processes with frontline fundraisers. Harnden also compiled and analyzed data and information for the university’s database and recommended strategic actions to ensure the achievement of the university’s fundraising priorities and goals.

Prior to his time in Colorado Springs, Harnden worked as a sports operations manager at Ball State University, performing a variety of tasks including creating a large developmental operations plan, collecting a variety of data from of counterpart institutions and their presentation to the management of the department. , and collecting information from sports programs and the administrative office for annual reports.

Harnden also brings experience to UNI having held various positions with Kutztown University, Chicago Cubs Spring Training Staff, Arizona State University, La Crosse Loggers of the Northwoods League (NWL) and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Harnden received his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2016, with a minor in Professional Organization and Organizational Communication. Three years later, she received a Master of Science in Sports Management from the University of California, Pennsylvania.

Harnden is originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin, and now resides in Cedar Falls.
