Golf Course Returns – NBC 7 San Diego
Time of departure on the site of the Brothers? A golf course known as “The Links” – a 9-hole course that bills itself as the best baseball stadium golf experience – is set to return next month to Petco Park in downtown San Diego.
The San Diego Padres announced this week that The Links will return to the stadium for three days next month – July 16-18. Now, this will be the seventh time The Links has appeared at Petco Park – but it’s the first time the green has ever been brought to, well, green, during baseball season.
But you know what? We are in 2021. Anything is possible.
What does the Ballpark golf course look like?
According to the Padres press office, golfers will have the opportunity to shoot at the Padres’ playing field from multiple tees set up along a course in the stadium.
The course will include some of the iconic holes of past years, such as a hole built from the Padres’ canoe. There will also be “new themed holes,” said the Padres, where golfers will have the chance to win different prizes.
Dedicated caddies will accompany golfers from hole to hole.
When the golfers have finished their round, it will be time to celebrate.
The Padres press office said golfers could head to the Western Metal Loft, which will turn into “The Links Clubhouse”.
At the clubhouse, golfers will be able to play on a putting green, watch other golfers along The Links, and purchase food, drink and merchandise.
Departure time: times, prices, clubs
The Links at Petco Park will be open July 16-18, 2021. Tee times – for two or four players – run from 7 am to 9 pm on all three days.
The prize starts at $ 150 per player; this includes a “The Links at Petco Park” hat, a 9 hole round for each golfer, a scorecard, access to the Links Clubhouse at the Western Metal Loft, a gift card and a dedicated caddy for each group of four golfers.
After that, premium packages go up to $ 250 per player, which also includes a Padres Field Level ticket for a home game between July 27 and August 1, plus two drink tickets per person and a pass. parking space per duo. This package also includes everything in the standard $ 150 package.
The Padres press office said golfers visiting The Links can bring their own clubs – wedges or irons only, no pilots – or rent Callaway clubs on site (rentals are limited).
All kinds of details about The Links at Petco Park can be found at the site of the Padres.
Departures for the general public will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.
Parking is available in the Premier Lot at Park Boulevard and Imperial Avenue; golfers can enter the stadium through the Gaslamp gate at 7e Avenue and rue K.
Besides, if you are more of a spectator than a golfer, there is always a way for you to discover The Links: tickets for spectators will be available for $ 10, with access to Clubhouse The Links and from there you will be able to see the action.
